Mrs Clare Warne - Chair
LONG-SERVER CLARE TAKES OVER AS CHAIR
Clare Warne has succeeded Alastair Paterson as Chair of Elmbridge Crossroads. Alastair, who has taken on a wider role with the Surrey Crossroads Schemes, had held the lead role at Elmbridge for the past three years.
Alastair Paterson - Vice - Chair
Alastair Paterson, who was appointed to the post in March 2005, brings with him a wealth of experience in dealing with people issues. He spent 30 years working for Shell, latterly as a Director in Human Resources. Alastair said he was delighted to take over as Chair, but was disappointed Fiona had decided to move on.
Alastair, who lives locally, added: “I hope to continue in her style by keeping focused on how we can best support carers in our community, through our staff and trustees.” The new Chair devotes much of his time helping others. He is a trustee of another charity and involved with yet a third. He is an ardent supporter of CRY, Cardiac Risk in the Young.
Alastair, whose wife Stephanie is a social worker at Tolworth Hospital, says he is the only Scotsman born in Stoke-on-Trent! “That’s is where I was born, but my father is Scottish.”
